Our family’s first visit to the Lake District – Gossel Ridding made the holiday season a dream and a stay that we will always cherish. From the moment we arrived we knew it was going to be something special. The house is spectacular. We felt as though we belonged. The lovely staff ensured that the fires were always lit, the food was always delicious and their care and attention to detail was simply superb! Gossel Ridding will remain an important memory.

I booked Gossel Ridding a year ago when my mum found it in The Guardian. I had spent a year before this hunting for the perfect hen weekend venue. Gossel Ridding looked perfect, the website showed me a beautiful house however when I arrived last Friday the house and grounds blew me away! Gossel Ridding provided me and my guests with the perfect setting for a relaxed, wonderful hen party! The chef and waitresses that served dinner on Saturday night were fantastic..I send heartfelt thanks for such a lovely evening!

Everyone had an absolutely wonderful time. From the minute we were greeted we had big smiles on our faces with new wonderful rooms to explore.
The level of comfort provided throughout is simply outstanding and we simply wouldn’t change a thing. Well done indeed to all the team who worked on the home!
Very sad to have to leave, but I’m sure we will be back ...
